It’s Spring time! It’s also the time of year that parasites start thriving again in our livestock. Monday, April 15, 2019, 4–6 p.m. there will be a workshop held at the Craven Ag Building, 300 Industrial Dr., New Bern, NC to check fecal egg counts in livestock. Please bring samples in that are older than 24 hours. The sample must be refrigerated until time of testing. If you have already done your deworming for the Spring bring a sample in to see if your dewormer is doing its job!

This workshop is set up for you to come in, test, and leave. I will not keep you for two hours. If your livestock test positive parasites we can discuss the next steps to get the parasites under control. This workshop is for all livestock.

If you have any questions please contact the area livestock agent Katie Carter at (252) 876-5606.
