2020 Coastal Plains Chicken Project

Join us in raising and showing chickens! The Coastal Plains Chicken Project is an opportunity to learn how to raise chickens while learning showmanship skills and record-keeping requirements. This year, participants will choose between Red Sex-link (laying hens) or broilers (meat birds). The project is open to active 4-H’ers (ages 5-18) and high school FFA/agricultural education classes. To become enrolled in 4-H visit 4HOnline. An area agent will be in touch with you once you have completed the online enrollment. All first-time participants must attend an orientation training and a showmanship/project book training hosted by Cooperative Extension.
