The North Carolina Aquaculture Development Conference is one of the largest regional aquaculture events in the US. We are excited to bring the 3 day event to you from the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center this March 23-25.

Information about the Conference:
This year’s conference is designed to bring together the general public, current and prospective fish farmers, scientists, and personnel from regulatory agencies to share information and ideas about the development of aquaculture. Attendees will learn about numerous topics relevant to several aquaculture species important in North Carolina and across the U.S.

Our famous NC Cultured Seafood Festival will be held Friday evening. This is the part of the conference where we showcase a variety of the best of NC aquaculture; featuring numerous fish and shellfish species cooked in ways to delight every palate!

Who Should Attend:
Anyone with an interest in fish or shellfish farming, including prospective growers, researchers, teachers, students, or agency persons with jobs related to aquaculture. The conference is also suited to persons who sell goods or services to the aquaculture industry.

This year’s conference has something for everyone in the aquaculture industry. Our outstanding conference sessions include:

  • mariculture, freshwater, and aquaponic concurrent sessions with valuable technical information
