Join Sarah Ware our Jones & Onslow County Family & Consumer Science Agent at the Swansboro Library for a hands-on water bath canning class that will walk you step-by-step through the safe and effective process of home canning.


Whether you're brand new to canning or need a refresher, this class is designed to help you build confidence in the kitchen while following research-based food safety practices.

What to Expect:


  • A fully hands-on experience, you’ll be involved in every step of the canning process

  • Learn when and why to use water bath canning (and when not to)

  • Understand the role of acidity, headspace, and processing time

  • Access to tested recipes and trustworthy preservation resources
