MATERIALS
Sample containers are not provided by NCDA&CS or our office.
- Submit 12–16 oz of a representative sample in a plastic (not glass) bottle. Used beverage containers with the labels removed work great! Be sure to rinse the container prior to sample collection; do not use soap.
FEES
NCDA’s Sampling Fee
- North Carolina* growers $5 per sample
- North Carolina* researchers $12 per sample
- Non-North Carolina growers or researchers $25 per sample
More information about the Solution Sample process is available on the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services website. - Payment methods for NCDA Sampling Fee:
- You can provide us with a check made out to NCDA.
- NO CASH
- Or if you’d rather pay NCDA directly online – when you fill out your Sample Information Sheet write “Invoice” and you will have to pay for your invoice online by credit card in order to view your Sample Results when they are ready. You must create an account in order to pay online, click to begin.
- Payments can also be made with an escrow account.
Jones Extension Courier Fee
- Our office charges a courier fee based on your sample’s weight. Our office does not keep change so please bring exact cash or check only. See the chart below for our current fees. (As of 1/10/2023)
