About this Event

The month of May is International Mediterranean Diet Month and what better way to celebrate than learning about how to eat the Med Way and learning how it can help to improve your health!

The Med Instead of Meds program series will help you Go MED by exploring 7 simple steps to eating the Med Way. Learn Med tips, life hacks, and recipes that will help you eat the Med Way every day.

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Carteret, Craven, Jones, and Onslow County Centers will be partnering to deliver an online Med Instead of Meds Express program series. This is a three-session series focused on eating a healthy Mediterranean-style eating pattern (a.k.a eating the Med Way). Sessions focus on the 7 Simple Steps to eating the Med Way. Each session explores 2-3 simple steps, corresponding mindfulness skills, and features Med Way recipe demonstration from the website’s recipe collection, or similar recipes.

Three class sessions will be delivered via Zoom on Thursdays at noon beginning May 14 through May 28, 2020. Sessions will last approximately 1 hour. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants on the morning of the scheduled Zoom session.
