Join us for a day trip to raleigh to learn about foods and food production. Explore how nc state university makes howling cow ice cream, tour the state's farmer's market, dine at ncsu with college students, visit the nc department of food science. cost is $10 but bring shopping money. for ages 13-18

We will meet at the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Jones County Center and drive to Raleigh, NC on August 3rd, 2022 | 6:15 a.m.-6:45 p.m.

  • Explore how NC State University makes Howling Cow ice cream.
  • Tour the State’s Farmer’s Market
  • Dine at NCSU with college students
  • Visit the NC Department of Food Science.

Requirements

  • This camp is for ages 13-18
  • Please pack a lunch as well as a morning and afternoon snack for each camp day.
  • Youth must wear appropriate attire and closed-toed shoes.
  • We encourage you to bring sunscreen and protective sun clothing as we will try to spend lots of time outdoors.
  • All youth MUST have an up-to-date 4-H Online 2.0 account to register for Jones County 4-H Summer Camps.

Jones County 4-H will be operating under the guidance provided by the NC Governor and CDC Guidelines.


How to Register

  • Complete the Jones County 4-H Summer Fun Registration (2022) form
  • You must pay the camp fee of $15 to hold your spot. When turning in your completed registration form include the payment- exact cash or check only (payable to “Jones County 4-H”) to the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Jones County Center (367-A Hwy 58 S, Trenton, NC 28585).
  • It’s first come first served – please register before this camp is full!
